Nairobi

After all the time you've spent planning and dreaming about going on safari, this is where it finally starts. Your guide will meet you and explain everything you need to know and answer any questions you might have. And then we'll go out on safari together.

Nairobi is a wonderfully dynamic city and your gateway to so much that is good about Kenya. It has its very own wildlife attractions, as well as museums and other fascinating windows onto modern and historical Kenyan life. The city is also known for its vibrant shopping, restaurant and nightlife scenes.

Nairobi National Park (Day 2)

Nairobi National Park is one of few places on earth where you can see lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeests and zebras, not to mention over 500 bird species, all within sight of the city.

We will pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport tonight and take you to the next stage of your journey.

Early Morning

You’ll look for wildlife and learn all about what you see in Nairobi National Park on a guided game drive led by our professional guide early this morning.

Afternoon

At Nairobi's Giraffe Centre this afternoon, you'll come face-to-face with an endangered Rothschild's giraffe and learn about the center's conservation work.

The Jungle Oasis

The Jungle Oasis, Nairobi is a lush, boutique hideaway nestled in the tranquil Karen district. Set within a beautifully landscaped garden, this retreat offers a series of cozy apartments and cottages built around a serene heated pool—complete with a charming waterfall feature.

Day 3

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park has lots of fans, and you're sure to be one after you visit. Although the park is only minutes away from the busy town of Nakuru, it has an incredible wildlife offering. This includes large numbers of both black and white rhino, endangered Rothschild's giraffes, pink flamingos, and lions that climb trees. This is one of only a handful of parks in Africa where you can see lions up in the branches. The view out over the lake from high on the escarpment is superb, while the lake itself is surrounded by acacia woodlands.

It's time for you to go on a guided game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park this afternoon. No matter how many times you go, you'll never grow tired of the experience.

Northwest of Lake Nakuru and close to Njoro, Ziwa Bush Lodge is a fantastic base for exploring this corner of the Rift Valley. Day 4 to 6

Masai Mara National Reserve

You're in for a really special safari experience on your visit to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This is one of the best places in Kenya to look for big cats. You may see so many elephant, giraffe, Thomson's gazelle, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and hippo that you stop noticing them after a while! And these are just the start: watch for the reserve's population of black rhino, which are present in the Mara Triangle although they can be pretty hard to spot. Beautiful savannah grasslands, acacia trees, distant escarpments and more than 500 possible bird species are other highlights you can look forward to.

You'll join us this afternoon on a guided game drive. It's a chance to get up close with the Mara's incredible landscapes and wildlife; watch for big cats.

This evening we'll be serving you a dinner to remember.

Come and see the best of Masai Mara National Reserve as we take you out on a guided game drive. It really is a terrific way to feel a part of Africa with the wind in your hair as we drive you around to look for animals.

You'll be joining us in Masai Mara National Reserve for a guided game drive. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.
