You've been dreaming of your safari for so long and now it's finally about to begin. You'll meet your guide who will tell you everything you need to know to get your safari started. We're as excited as you are to get your trip underway.

Kenya's capital is your gateway to the national parks and reserves where you'll enjoy your safari. Nairobi is a dynamic, intriguing city, rich in local culture. It has a number of wildlife-themed attractions to help get you excited about what lies ahead. Nairobi also has wonderful restaurants serving a range of cuisines, as well as good nightlife, busy markets and excellent accommodation.

The Jungle Oasis, Nairobi is a lush, boutique hideaway nestled in the tranquil Karen district. Set within a beautifully landscaped garden, this retreat offers a series of cozy apartments and cottages built around a serene heated pool—complete with a charming waterfall feature.

Day 2

Lake Nakuru National Park

On your visit to Lake Nakuru National Park, you can expect some fantastic wildlife experiences. Flamingos have returned to the lake in varying numbers. You might also see tree-climbing lions, endangered Rothschild's giraffes, and the park's thriving populations of both black and white rhinos. And because the park is relatively compact, your chances of seeing these and other animals are excellent. The park's scenery, too, is a highlight, with the picturesque lake as a centerpiece. The acacia woodlands are especially pretty, and the views of the lake are best from the Out of Africa Lookout (where some scenes from the 1985 film were shot).

This afternoon you'll go on a guided game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. An expert guide will show you the park's beautiful landscapes and help you look for lions, rhinos, flamingos and more.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Many travelers fall in love with the Masai Mara National Reserve at first sight, and it's really easy to do. Here you can go looking for big cats, elephant, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and more (including black rhinos in the Mara Triangle). Birders come because more than 500 species have been recorded in the Mara. And best of all, you get to do it all across one of Kenya's best examples of classic safari terrain. The Masai Mara is a wonderful world of endless savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands and rolling hill country rising to the escarpments that line the reserve's perimeter. The Mara also lies in the heart of Maasai country.

Your guide will add a whole extra dimension to your experience of the Masai Mara National Reserve on your guided game drive this afternoon. Big cats and elephants are always possible as you range across the classic safari plains.

Early this morning we'll serve you breakfast, which is always one of the most enjoyable meals while on safari.

You'll be joining us in Masai Mara National Reserve for a guided game drive. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.

Rise above the Masai Mara in a hot-air balloon for one of the most amazing safari experiences possible. Apart from the superb views that seem to go on forever, you can enjoy the early morning light and many animals down below.

Accommodation Day 3 & 4

Enkorok Mara Camp

Tented camp

At Enkorok Mara Camp enjoy being in an area of the Masai Mara away from other camps, but with plenty of wildlife, including the elephants that sometimes wander through camp. Located in the Siana Conservancy, Enkorok has a dining area with a soaring thatched roof, and the safari tents have plenty of room. You'll never grow tired of the views of the Oloolotikoshi Hills.

Meet the locals and spend time learning about life in a Maasai village.
